Student Climate Strike

September 20, 2019 - 11 AM
Steps of Washington State Capitol
416 Sid Snyder Ave SW, Olympia

On September 20th, millions of people of all ages around the world will walk out of their classes, jobs, and homes as part of a Global Climate Strike. High School students are organizing a Student Climate Strike on the Capitol Steps from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, and invite people of all ages to attend. Facebook event RSVP here

Students would love for you to strike with them. At the event there will be multiple student speakers, student musicians, and information from local climate action groups. Olympia Indivisible’s Get Out the Vote team will be registering and pre-registering people to vote, and TCAT, the Sunrise Movement, and Climate Reality Leaders will be providing information about the amazing work they are doing and ways you can help.

This is a big start to massive climate action we will be taking in Olympia, and this event will be incredibly powerful. Students and adults of all ages will strike together to demand ambitious legislation from the government to combat climate change. We demand that all governments see climate change as the emergency that it is, and that action cannot be stalled any longer.

Please strike with us, and strike for your future.
